It consists of chefs, hunters, musicians, artists, cyclists and conservationists. The existential question to this avant-garde group has not been “why?”, but “why not?” They aim to provide a sophisticated (but not stuffy) dining experience that incorporates their passion for creativity, sustainability, eclecticism and their joie de vivre.</p> <p>We’ve recently partnered up with <a title="Stag Dining Group" target="_blank" href="http://twitter.com/stagdining">SGD</a> to create menus for their incredible dinners. The first menus were printed on handmade paper (consisting of recycled biodegradable material and seeds) and on tea-dyed paper. The second menus were printed on tumeric-dyed banana leaf paper. Able & Baker is quickly becoming a mad paper laboratory. The first wedding anniversary is symbolized with paper, and from there traditional anniversary gifts become more precious or scarce to reflect the growing number of years a couple has remained together. To celebrate their first anniversary, one newlywed came to us to craft a “paper” pinata for her husband who HATES broccoli. Pouring fresh and diverse drafts in signature glassware and mixing unique, hand-made cocktails with fresh fruit and herbs distinguishes Elixir from the numerous bars in this vibrant nightlife corridor. It is also the second oldest saloon in the whole city!<br/><br/>Able & Baker Studio was chosen as their Green Business of the Month in April 2010. We were invited to come into the saloon and perform live screen printing on a beer barrel.
